New South Wales residents are being warned about a new phone scam where the caller pretends to be from the police. NSW Police Force said the scammers threatened the call recipients with fines or arrest.

Stowmarket is a market town in Suffolk, England, on the busy A14 trunk road between Bury St Edmunds to the west and Ipswich to the southeast.
