Ipstones is a village and civil parish in the north of the English county of Staffordshire. Ipstones is part of the Staffordshire Moorlands district; within the boundaries of the civil parish are the hamlets Foxt, Consall Forge and Bottomhouse. Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.
Telstra customers beware: there’s a new, and very convincing scam that could be hitting your inbox soon. Images obtained by 9NEWS show a legitimate-looking email bill sent to an address earlier this month with the usual company subject line, “Your new Telstra Bill is ready to view”.
