Newton Abbot is a market town and civil parish on the River Teign in the Teignbridge District of Devon, England. It had a population of 24,029 in 2011, estimated at 26,655 in 2019. Scamwatch is warning Australians to be wary of an online scam pretending to be from the Australian Boarder Force. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said a recorded message claiming to be from the Australian Boarder Force (ABF) is being sent around.
Scamwatch posted a tweet today saying people had been receiving phone calls with automated messages that pretended to inform the listener of a problem.
