Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.

Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.
Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.
Users can find other people’s rating of a phone number 01947602861, interest in a number in the last year, and, if possible, also the location of a number (for landlines).
