I've had several missed calls to my Irish mobile phone from this, and similar, numbers beginning with 07701. Recently (ie the past few months) they appear to be from the UK and Austria. But it's possible that the people running these waste of time scams are based outside the UK. The regulator OFCOM doesn't regulate the phone system enough - they offer any number of UK numbers for very very low prices, which I think enables the scammers to use them.
